Intense episode but hard to follow sometimes

This episode was pretty quick and had some scenes that weren't actionpacked but were tense nonetheless. This episode feels like a build-up to the next couple of episodes. It's good.

Follow the Money

Warning: Spoilers
The show continues to have a strong third season. There were obviously a lot of logic flaws in this episode, but everything about the raid and then spotting GIlberto in the house at the end was exciting.

Playing with history is fine since few of us know this story to the letter. All I care about is action and we got plenty of that here.

Six Months To Go
Samuel-Shovel15 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 3 of this season introduces a lot of new plot points that seem as if they will be the main focus for the show moving forward. We get to spend more time with the new DEA agents and get to learn their style as well as their relationship to one another. We also get to see their unsuccessful raid, thwarted by Jorge's quick-wittedness. He's one of the more likeable "anti-heroes" of this season so far, a man driven by his family wanting success. His scene in the restaurant was a memorable one.

We can also see that some members of the Cali cartel are not exactly excited to give up their current style of life. With the plea bargain looming large in the future, members such as Pacho must reassess what they expect out of life.

Meanwhile Agent Pena is busy schmoozing congressman visiting from the States. Their presence interferes with Pena's own investigation into the money laundering schemes of the cartel.

While the plotlines do clear up a bit in this episode, nothing too exciting happens. The tensest moment was the raid on the accounting office but that almost becomes comedic with Jorge running around the room with a bucket full of cash and the use of the "closing the blinds" gag. I also rolled my eyes at a few lines in this one, such as Wayne Knight's character talking about how Pacho must get all the ladies, even though the audience is aware he's a homosexual. The writers are trying way too hard to wink at the camera.

Comical

Warning: Spoilers
While the overall plot is okay, the raid scene was just hilariously stupid.

You can't actually believe people wouldn't notice a guy behind a door with a bucket full of cash, and not even do a full search on clearly the main desk of the office.

It was probably necessary for the plot but still, could've been better executed.

Then there's also the part with Pena and the fictional character of Stechner who keeps getting in the way of him.

But yeah, overall just an episode to keep the plot going. Nothing big happens and everything is falling into place for everyone.

Decent episode, but hope for better writing the coming episodes.

Now the real play begins
TheBigSick2 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
If the first two episodes are the prologue of Season 3, from this episode on, the real play begins. Agent Feistl confronts members of the Cali Cartel face to face.

DEA begins the investigation by tracking the money of the Cali Cartel, in order to find the evidence of money laundering. Agent Feistl gets a search warrant and searches the financial building of the Cali Cartel. But he fails to find anything useful in the end due to the excellent job of the Cali KGB, led by Jorge.
