It's another week in which Murtaugh takes a backseat (an observation, rather than a complaint) while Riggs makes for an unlikely father figure to a young witness. And you know going in that he'll bond with this kid eventually, but it's still nice while it's happening. That relationship carries this episode, and even though there'e nothing earth-shattering here storywise, it develops Riggs nicely.
