The show is still funny and that is all that really matters. They are reaching for these storylines, but we watch comedy to escape from the world and that is what this episode provided. Five talented actors doing what they've done well for so long.

What a great season!

After seeing some nuggets here and there during the last season, but having the overall feeling they more or less have lost the sunny edge I am so happy and very surprised season 14 actually brings back life to sunny!
During these first episodes the gang seem to be themselves again. What more is there to say? This season got much more of a flow to it. I enjoy the whole show and not just some scenes and lines like it was during the last season.
I am as impressed as I am happy! I will not give any more specific comments regarding this episode. Just watch it.

Glenn's directing and line delivery in this episode was incredible, i kept rewinding parts because they made me laugh so much. dennis and mac's dynamic in this episode was so funny, and this episode really felt like classic sunny - dennis being dramatic, mac being desperate for validation and approval, dee intruding, charlie and frank falling out and charlie trying to repair their relationship, it was just a perfect episode.

This episode was perfectly hilarious and oddly heartfelt in that strange way only The Gang can accomplish. There is an overwhelming list of things that worked so well within it.
Them recognizing the waiter in the beginning was such a nice twist, and the fact that 2/5 of them would be dead if not for him is just gold. Glenn's line deliveries had me shaking with laughter. Dee's fascination with near death experiences is a perfect example of this tragedy masked as comedy. Dennis and Mac's toxic codependent nature callback to Breaks Up was great to see again, especially after it seemed they'd grown apart the last couple seasons. Mac's refusal to save Dee and Dennis's hearteyes as his sister died was probably the funniest part of any episode in a while. And of course, Frank and Charlie making up was sweet as ever.

This episode is exactly what classic Always Sunny is about. The gang being awful to each other, and absolutely PERFECT delivery. The scene at the table with each member of the gang's faces had me rewinding again and again. Guiginos as ever is host to a magnificent opening scene.

I don't know how they still can do it after 14 seasons, but they pull it off week after week.. This whole season has been funny as hell, but this episode was AMAZING. This is definitely in the top 5 episodes of the entire series.. Between this episode and "Hero or Hate Crime" its hard to pick a winner.

I thought this episode was hilarious. The poisoning thing was so funny to me for some reason. Rob's delivery of his lines is so good this ep, he's absolutely hilarious. Also I'm glad that Glenn seems to be doing a good job directing! We love that for him. Anyway this is the only episode of s14 I actually liked so I'm very happy. I still think Mac is carrying s14 but I don't mind that much bc Mac is rly funny and I love him. Also the return of whiny Dennis which is my favorite Dennis. Although I honestly couldn't tell whether or not he knew what Mac was doing lol? I mean Dennis ate cheese like .. last episode and was fine. What is goin on

Brilliant. The first 8-9 minutes are absolute gold. The entire episode is full of targeted self absorption from every member of the gang. Season 14 is up there with the best having more great episodes than there were even average ones. Can't wait for 4 more years.

I think this episode might be the best of season 14. It's just a classic episode all the way through, full of funny moments and the gang being the gang, in absurd situations. Just the gang being awful people to each other. It's a classic.
I appreciate it because episodes like this are incredibly rare now. This wouldn't have been out of place in a previous season.
