The Kind Of Storyline I Enjoy: Keep Going This Direction!

I agree with AtlasMB, all the way. This episode has come back to the mix of crime drama, action and comedy that drew me to the show. I think this episode really drew on the interplay between the Ruth and Martin characters to address the sensitive topic of dealing with alcohol dependency. I am also hoping the Ruth character makes return a appearances. This was much more appealing to me than developing the father figure.

Keep delivering this type of material!

A Great Episode

This episode illustrates what is best about this series. There are serious themes like Riggs' drinking and the risks of being a police officer. There are humorous moments, especially those involving Ruth (Swoosie Kurtz--can she PLEASE be a regular on the show?!). There are action sequences. And it is all woven together by a crime mystery. The personal and professional lives of the characters are integrated, making for very developed characters.

Policeman shooting GLASS bottles in the PUBLIC BEACH?! Worst thing this psycho alcoholic have done this far. No wonder people don´t like police.

....when this episode was made. It's terrible, boring and the stupid comic relief would be rejected from Nickelodeon.
