Composer and member of Tangerine Dream, Johannes Schmoelling is interviewed for this seventeen-minute featurette, which can be found on the Shout Factory! release of FIRESTARTER. Schmoelling starts off talking about being familiar with Tangerine Dream when he eventually joined. From here the featurette focuses in on the soundtrack business and he shares stories of working with Michael Mann on THIEF and of course his work on FIRESTARTER. Schmoelling talks about the difference doing an actual album and preparing a soundtrack as well as the people who have to work with when doing a soundtrack. There's certainly nothing overly great here but fans of the composer will certainly enjoy hearing these stories.
