I greatly enjoyed "Bad Lesbian 2", a truly wacky, often surreal comical tale of madness, radically different from the usual production emanating from the girl/girl label Girlfriends Films.
It's weirdness and wacky dialog reminded me of the work, mainly for Vivid Video but later for Wicked Pictures, of writer David Stanley, an enfant terrible who made a big splash on the porn scene a decade or so earlier, but who has vanished in this All-Sex era.
Because Stanley and his frequent director B. Skow made a number of fine features for Girlfriends Films (under a label called Skow for Girlfriends Films) around this time I'm making an educated guess that "Bad Lesbian 2" is his work, with Skow likely the director. Girlfriends unfortunately doesn't list any director or crew credits, preferring anonymity behind the camera.
Petite Odette Delacroix stars as a young girl brought to Holloway House for Troubled Teens. We never find out what really is her problem, or in fact what is real and not merely a figment of her crazy imagination, but she purports to be opting for mental institution rather than going to prison for some automobile accident/crime.
She is interviewed by Dr. Holloway who runs the place, a wonderful role for porn's resident crazie Dana DeArmond. What transpires from there is too much fun to watch for me to spoil in detail, but the amusing dialog and over the top performances keep one guessing throughout as to who is crazy and who is insane.
There's a mysterious girl (out of the Addams family) whose face is covered in her hairdo and who urinates in front of the house, footage that is repeated over and over for shock effect (though tastefully shot for some reason, not as explicit as usual in the realm of Golden Showers. We later have her contradictorially revealed to be actually the alter ego of two different lead characters -take your pick.
Outstanding cast includes Claire Robbins, Casey Calvert and Raven Rockette as certifiable inmates, and the fabulous gimmick casting of two of porn's premiere plus size babes: Julie Cash and Alia Starr, as Amazonian orderlies (their three-way sex scene centered on Odette is a highlight of the show).
Add to the mix Remy LaCroix as a nutcase who imagines herself a talk-show host, and with canned audience laughter does a stand-up routine of particularly bad jokes - this scene is quite reminiscent of Stanley's many Vivid Video comedy sequences concerning a fictional show titled "It's Big Baloney Sandwich Time".
