Quotes

  • Crawley : Good evening, Alex.

Alex Rider : I know Krav Maga

Crawley : Well. I know shooting people in the head. Why don't we calm down and have a cup of tea and a chat?

  • Alex Rider : Wait. Wait! Wait! Wait. Just wait, a moment, please

[Walks over to his phone, takes out Mrs Jones' card but instead lifts his phone to his ear without dialling]

Alex Rider : . I don't even need to dial, do I? You're listening right now. I was already gunna come in, I was already going to. All you've done is show me what kind of people you are. But I'll do it alright. I'll do it. Call off the dogs.

Immigration Officer Powell : [Phones rings]  Go ahead.

    [pause]

    Immigration Officer Powell : Understood.

    [Immigration and Social Services leave]

Jack Starbright : What the hell, what was that?

Alex Rider : Jack, I have to go out.

Jack Starbright : No Alex, tell me what's happening

    Alex Rider : I can't, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'll be right back. I promise, okay?

    Jack Starbright : Alex

Alex Rider : You saw what they can do, they can deport you. They can take you away. I'll be right back, I promise.

    [Alex leaves]

  • Jack Starbright : Alex?

Alex Rider : He shouldn't have died

    Jack Starbright : I know

Alex Rider : He shouldn't. They shouldn't have let him.

Jack Starbright : Sweetie, it was an accident. No one can stop that

Alex Rider : No, it wasn't. Someone did this. Someone did this to us.

    [Doorbell rings]

  • Tom Harris : Come on man, we all have our own particular set of skills. This is definitely a more your skills kinda thing.

Alex Rider : You got it confiscated, you get it back

Tom Harris : The lights are low. You're next to Ayisha, the magic starts to happen... Or a horror movie marathon and a long cold shower. It's your call.

  • Alex Rider : Point Blanc

    Mrs. Jones : Sorry?

Alex Rider : It's the last thing he said to me before he went out. He wrote it on his desk. Where was he going?

Mrs. Jones : I don't know. But we'll find out.

  • Tom Harris : Alex.

Alex Rider : Not doing it.

Tom Harris : Dude, come on, like two minutes.

    Alex Rider : No, No

Tom Harris : Just two minutes' worth of filming that's all I need

Alex Rider : I think we've got a lesson, so I'm just gunna...

Tom Harris : We can get it on the walk, we can get it on the walk

Alex Rider : The thing I most remember about Tom at school was his creative determination, you know, his drive. Because that's what really set him apart. Just talking about it now, it's almost as if I can still see him. Like, er, right in front of me.

Tom Harris : Right well if you don't take it seriously it's going to look stupid

Alex Rider : It is stupid. How can you do a Making Of documentary, you haven't actually made any movies

Tom Harris : It's called shooting out of sequence mate

Alex Rider : It's called 'get someone else to do it'

Tom Harris : Oh, very witty, very smart, looks good on you that. Well, it was Jahid's idea

Alex Rider : Well, get Jahid to do it then

Tom Harris : Jahid actually had another idea, actually, he said, 'oh that's a really good idea Tom, maybe we should er get some footage tonight at the party that Ayiesha's going to?'

    Alex Rider : What?

Tom Harris : Oh, that perked you up a little bit. I knew that name would work on you.

    Alex Rider : Which party?

Tom Harris : Typical, so predictable. You won't do anything for your friends, but the ladies...

  • Alex Rider : Tom, can you do something for me?

    Tom Harris : What?

Alex Rider : Go home. Tell Jack I'll be back later.

    Tom Harris : What?

Alex Rider : Just do it!

Tom Harris : Well. Well, call me!

    [Alex Cycles off]

    Tom Harris : I don't have a... I don't have a phone

  • Alex Rider : I can't find where they took him. There's no hospital record, there's no mortuary transfer. There's nothing.

Tom Harris : Mate, this really doesn't matter.

Alex Rider : No hospital in London has any record of him being brought in.

Tom Harris : I don't know Maybe they've spelt his name wrong. They're always doing stuff like that.

Alex Rider : Yeah or maybe it didn't happen!

    Tom Harris : What?

Alex Rider : He never went over the speed limit. Never.

Tom Harris : Mate, I can't imagine how hard this is for you, but...

Alex Rider : But what if it's bollocks? All of it? What if it's bullshit? What if they're lying?

    Tom Harris : Who?

Alex Rider : Have you got, have you got find my phone switched on?

    Tom Harris : What?

Alex Rider : On your phone, have you got find my phone switched on?

Tom Harris : Yeah. But the batteries probably dead now

Alex Rider : It doesn't matter. It'll save the last location.

Tom Harris : How's this going to help?

Alex Rider : If we can find your phone, we can find the car, maybe we can find out what really happened.

  • Alan Blunt : So, he didn't work in a Bank, obviously. He worked for us.

Alex Rider : And who are you?

Alan Blunt : Who do you think we are?

Alex Rider : Security services. MI6 or something.

Alan Blunt : Or something is about right. My name is Alan Blunt. I'm in charge of this department. We are a specialized subdivision of the British Secret Intelligence Service. MI6 gather information, we apply it. We take care of the bigger picture, and we use any means necessary. And your uncle was one of our very best field agents.

Alex Rider : He lied to me. My whole life. Who he was, what he did. Everything.

Alan Blunt : Secrecy is an occupational necessity in our line of work. Your uncle was shot and killed doing his job, there was no car crash, obviously. But you know that already, because you are very much your uncle's nephew.

Alex Rider : and why does that matter anymore?

Alan Blunt : because there's something we'd like you to do for us.

    Alex Rider : what?

    Alan Blunt : A job.

Alex Rider : You want me to help you? He died in some scummy warehouse, because of you. You can piss off. All of you can piss off.

[Alex get's up and walks towards the door]

Alan Blunt : Just pick up the phone in the morning Alex, if you change your mind.

    [Alex leaves]

Mrs. Jones : This is just wrong.

Alan Blunt : The world is changing Mrs Jones. If we play by the old rules, we're going to lose the new battles.
