After great Barbie life in the dreamhouse - a funny fresh successful series- producers decided to cut the line and created a new Barbie version. Much worse, with irritatingly dull characters -by the way, whose idea was to provide Barbie with such an annoying brat lower-class coarse voice?- and apparently addressed to a much less demanding level audience- this series lost what the others had: witty dialogues, interesting plots and funny situations. Here Barbie and her friends act like silly, irritating teenagers brats at their worst: making frivolous plans, converting simple things into foolish acting...and in most situations having their always present mobile phones literally in their hands as glued into them (they even jump over a dangerous hole with them in their hands!). Even the new and previously good idea to introduce Barbie's parents in the plots fade when realize they act like grown-up kids. Also full of clichés. Good family values enhancing? Well, not quite. Let's take the father-daughter activity episode, presented as a frustrating transicional rite to adulthood by choosing one daugher at a time. Why not presenting a whole family activity instead? Although being wrapped in a wonderful friendship, love and family life lessons' envelope this series fail into the most elementary: consider children as if they were silly people and using them to put cartain ideas into their minds. And that is a big mistake: being young does not mean silly and the way family and friends are portrayed here -desguised under a love and friendship family values' appearance- is not a model to follow but a sad example of dull parents, egotist simple-minded teenagers and puppet boyfriends. Better real family & friends values do exist. The fact that this is addressed to children should be a warning to avoid insulting their intelligence by creating such silly roles.

This show is so inspiring and brings so much joy to others! It stars barbie and her life in the dreamhouse, she often talks to the viewers and teaches them very important life lessons. Hope this show lasts long, we need stuff like this.
