To be honest the episode was not that horrible just many parts of it were. I think you could very much enjoy it if this was the first one you ever watched. The music is pretty alright and the beginning was good. The fact that some one gets shot(though it not the person who ran unprotected at a guy firing a machine gun)is something I feel happens way to little. It doesn't have to be such a dangerous thing as this one is(near an artery), it can just be a shot that isn't at a dangerous place, or even one that didn't get through the protective vest, real cops get shot all the time, and I find it a bit unrealistic that they almost never do.
But the problem is that the characters act very out of character and some things just don't make sense. The fact that Deeks feels its better to call of the wedding because they don't agree on want they want in the future(an indeed very imported thing, and a good reason to reconsider. Except for the fact that after this episode it is NEVER mentioned again, so the problem was only created for cheap tension)and Kensi being shocked at this and seeing that as blackmailing... I've never seen them communicate so poorly and Kensi react so dumb.
The rest of the team is supporting Mosley, I don't know why as she has almost always been mean or disrespectful or bossy to them and she is now constantly threatening them if they don't do all the illegal stuff she wants them to do. Why is everybody so okay with that(except for Deeks)? And I would expect some of them to simply say No and say they rather be fired than do something like this.
What also didn't make sense is the fact that Mosley is constantly saying she is doing all this to save her son(while I agree with Callan, that kid is in no danger, just being with his father, having a pretty good life. It is bad that he doesn't get to see his mother but he is not is real danger), but when she hears his voice she is surprise and says ''I didn't think he was alive''. But if she thought he was dead, then why did she keep saying that she was doing this so save the life of her son.
But the most annoying thing for me this entire episode is Sam. He gets shot and doesn't want anesthesia as they take the bullet out, they do this to make him sound though or strong to us, but it just sounds stupid. Then he gets out of the hospital and takes no care of himself at all! His leg is bleeding, somebody suggests to him to sit down and he doesn't! Why not?! Why would you purposely slow down the healing progress by not sitting while there is a chair right there! This doesn't make him cool and strong, just an idiot. And he wants to go and help 'save' Mosley's kid, but what about his own!! He is all they have, and he is going on a suicide mission. What a horrible father!
