After the confusions of episode three, the fourth installment sees the series well and truly back on form, this episode gets under the skin of the characters more so, and sees Charlie plunged deeper undercover. This was captivating, thrilling and features some gripping scenes. Finally we get a touch of humour, the electric going off was a nice scene. Florence Pugh continues to shine through. The penultimate episode is nicely set up. 8/10

I had friend called Khalil at school. It is a good job we did not pronounce is name as they do in this series. The poor lad would be covered in flem!

Episode 3 gave me a sense of the director getting a handle of the material. I sensed the auteur of Oldboy.

Episode 4 deals with the aftermath of Salim's death. Charlie is travelling with her theatre friends. Becker has been careful to keep one bit of news from her. Salim was blown to bits in the red Mercedes.

Kurtz now in London sees his plan could be coming together. Charlie will attract the interest of the Palestinian bombers. It is up to Becker to convince Charlie to stay onside when she finds out about Salim.

Charlie confronts Becker and asks him if that was always his plan. To kill Salim.

Eventually Charlie is abducted and taken to Beirut. Becker wants to go after her but Kurtz prevents him.

I still think that the series lacks tension and thrills. It is the misstep of the adaptation. The audience gave the first episode a try but many felt they did not like it and bothered not to return.
