Did not expect this from a kid's cartoon(spoilers)

Warning: Spoilers
The final scene in this episode, when it's revealed what happened to the mother and scrooge's part in it, hit me like i never expected. I was left speechless and dumbfounded. Hearing the harsh words from the nephewa, scrooge defending himself, seeing how far he really went to find her, all of it was heart breaking and great. Can't wait for the final episode.

Well... THAT hurt!

Despite this children's cartoon clearly intending to be a Saturday morning show, it doesn't shy away from delivering a deep emotional impact when it wants to.

This updated version of Ducktales is spot on, funny, entertaining and all around pretty freaking good!

David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck is terrific. His nephews Huey, Dewy and Louie all have distinct personalities and haircuts apart from their different coloured clothing, and the female characters Webby and Mrs Beakley are far more assertive, hands on and three-dimensional than the old version.

They go on several interesting adventures together, solving many mysteries. But the most important intreaguing and important one is what happened to the boy's mother, Della Duck?

In this episode we find out exactly why Scrooge refuses to talk about his beloved niece's disappearance. We also see that behind the cynical, angry miser facade he always displays is a deeply hurt soul, often misunderstood and riddled with guilt.

I've always loved Scrooge, as he is an enigmatic, complicated character - a rare treat in this type of children's animation.

The last few seconds of this episode are probably the most heart-wrenching things I've seen in a series like this.

I do wish this would be turned into a movie one day. With the right people involved it could be an absolute emotional, but fun ride.

Heartbroken

The last five minutes of this episode contain the most emotional scenes I've seen in a long time. I don't cry at shows often, but I shed several tears when this episode ended. Complex characters, tragic revelations and amazing animation, especially for the facial expressions and body language. I watched the final scene several times, pausing it to better understand what I was seeing... and it broke my heart.

Saddest episode ever

Warning: Spoilers
In 2019 I was sitting in my bedroom watching this, crying. Yes. I was crying at a Disney show. Probably the saddest episode in Ducktales (2017) history! The kids get angry at Scrooge for letting Della Duck go away. IF YOU DON'T CRY THAT IS STRANGE

Why, Disney? WHY?!?

Warning: Spoilers
This might be the most depressing episode in the series, and also in the Disney Company. I was crying in the end, and I thought that this was the end of the series. Unfortunately, Disney redeemed themselves in the season finale. This review isn't just a review, it's a warning. If you haven't seen this episode, be prepared.
