Weakest episode so far, but still strong
silentholygaming10 March 2019
I love nearly everything about this show, the humour is spot on and the show is extremely comics accurate, all the main characters are great but the three stand outs for me are; Elasti-Woman (Rita Farr) Negativeman (Larry Trainor) & Cyborg (Victor Stone) the rest of the cast are also extremely talented but these three are my favourites. Getting onto the episode, the plot and writing is great & I love how we get to see some more scenes for one of Jane's personality. All in all, if you haven't already, I totally recommend to watch this show, certainly the best on DC Universe & it's always a fun time!

The book
paultapner31 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
With the 'team' still anything but, a distraction comes along in the shape of British Magician Willoughby Kipling. If Caulder was there he would have said 'where's Constantine?' And Willoughby would have said 'he's over on Legends of Tomorrow, so you'll have to make do with me.'

Mark Sheppard plays Mark Sheppard playing John Constantine. But is as reliable as ever.

What, like the last part, still feels a bit episodic at first does get rather good in the final third. It's not episodic, as it ends on a cliffhanger. Which helps feel like the story has space. The theme of not being heroes comes up yet again. But it doesn't dwell on it. And there's some pretty darn good weirdness. A Jane persona not seen before. And Cyborg's gun arm comes out as well.

Nicely done. And will leave you looking forward to seeing what happens next.

A Mark Sheppard Guest Appearance Makes ANY Show Better
nannyjo27 August 2021
The highlight of the episode for me was Willoughby Kipling, played by Mark Sheppard. He always brings such life and entertainment to any character he is given and Kip is no different. His strangeness fit in perfectly with our cast of heroes. I hope we see more of him in the future of this series.

Crazy funny episode
imdbdc-0548515 July 2019
This episode is a magical crazy episode. The episode turns around the decreator and its cult. In this episode you will discover a very important thing about Larry. A new wierd character appears and performs all kinds of strange magic. It'a funny and a little bit absurd episode which surprises the viewers. In this episode the Doom Patrol is divided.

I'm enjoying the ride. No idea where it is going. No idea if anyone knows where it is going, but it isn't boring. I like it.

Werid, very very weird, BUT IN THE BEST WAY!!!

This show keeps surprising me and me becoming such a big fan could make me a bit biased. Any chance of you just falling into this show without seeing the pilot and you will be incredibly lost and very confused. The imaginations on this team are huge and brilliant. Netflix, Disney Streaming, Amazon, HULU, and HBO are competing against this and the bar is high. The CW has an excellent line up and I hope with Arrow being canceled after season 8 moves to DC or a version of it. Titans, Doom Patrol (DCU) The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Blacklighting (CW) all have basically the same fan base. DCU has so far produced some incredible shows. Titans was awesome, but Doom Patrol is next level and everyone is playing catch up ...

Should of had John Constantine
essay-witty7 September 2021
This is Constantine's weirdness and it would have been great to have Matt Ryan instead of just a wanna-be character.

Bizzarro

Mark Shephard joins this episode as a magician, John Constantine in spirit. He automatically makes this show a hundred times better.

Cyborg is a really small guy, and his faceplate and other mechanical parts look really cheap, like Party City had a clearance sale. The actor is a nice plus to this self-absorbed cast of pity-potty characters. Both Cyborg and Mark Shephard are a breath of fresh air.

Jane and her insanity are usually a plus, but in this episode she plays mostly her sad little girl roles, so she is mostly a downer. Mr. Roboto is non-stop self-pity in this episode. Someone needs to give him a violin and lessons.

There is a brief moment of Mr. Nobody, and the Chief, and they are another plus. The villains in this episode are a waste of space. The Doom Patrol should be called the Turd Turtles, as they get nothing done, really slowly. As an action adventure show this was BBC/Dr. Who style, all talk and very little action.

Was going good so far but.....

What just happened to Doom Patrol, it was going so good. The previous episode was one of the best television ever. Now it suddenly derails with an absolute ridiculous plotting.

Ya, I'm done.
Eli_Elvis3 April 2019
Story that goes nowhere with poorly written characters that will string us along for a few dozen episodes with their emotional baggage inside a plot that deserves to be in an 80's cartoon.

What a waste. It's 2019, write something worthwhile. DC is garbage. The other networks are kicking your a$$$$$ and that's not saying much. TV is dead. I'd rather watch YouTubers.

Cursing and blood doesn't make an adult show. it's as if the creators are 60 year old cat ladies who where stifled in their corporate network jobs for 20 years and thought, 'omg smiley face, smiley face, we can do whatever we want now'. Except they didn't want to tell a compelling story.
