This is what the "Johnlock" fans have been waiting for!

This is a light-hearted short film about Sherlock Holmes's birthday, and John Watson's desire to outwit Sherlock by throwing a surprise birthday party for him.

Not only is the premise of "Furtive Festivity" sweet and fun, but this film also fulfills the "Holmes and Watson as lovers" idea that many fans have wanted to see for.... well, probably for a hundred years or so.

The actors are delightful, and the cinematography is top rate. Bravo to everyone involved in making "Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Furtive Festivity!"

I loved this! It was cheeky in all the right places, but so lovely and sweet. The two main actors were wonderful and adorable. This is something I have been waiting for since I first read Sherlock Holmes when I was 10. Thanks to the cast and crew! Proud to be a supporter!

My heart is overjoyed to have finally seen John and Sherlock interacting with such love and affection and have it finally be acknowledged by content creators. This film will do wonders for LGBTQIA+ viewers who can finally see a part of themselves in two of the world's most beloved characters. Thank you so much for making this dream a reality!

I would have given more stars if it had been possible. The acting was fantastic. The writing was funny in all the right places. And the sparks were flying between the two leads. Excellent casting for Holmes and Watson. This is a gem! Small, but priceless. I wish it would have been an even longer movie.

A lesson on comedy and representation

Furtive Festivity goes beyond everything you would think possible with its limited budget. The film is, in itself, a brave statement, for presenting the first Sherlock Holmes adaptation where Holmes and Watson are in an established relationship, but it's not only the courage of such decision that makes it so enjoyable to watch. The script is funny and engaging, allowing the narrative to flow naturally. The acting and directing here is on point, and the casting choices are just perfect. I just wish it could be 2 hours long, and not a short film, which only proves how great the whole experience of the movie is. Hopefully, we get to see more of this in the future.

Please can I have more of this

Having endured the queerbaiting by BBC Sherlock and snide and derisive comments from its creators, this short film was balm for my soul. It's charming and engaging, the actors are adorable (as is the dog), the cinematography is beautiful and my only complaint is that it is not long enough. I really hope the creators decide to expand on this in the near future.

A wonderful production

Thanks to the wonderful production of Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Furtive Festivity, including the cast with their spot on mannerisms, I'm reminded of previous Holmes incarnations. This is a great feat in itself but it has the additional honour of creating something that is of its own unique quality.

It represents the LGBT and the Arthur Conan Doyle canon in a respectful manner. I found particular amusement in the scene where Sherlock pretends to have been poisoned via the donkey's tails and John had to save his life, right in front of Mary.

I do wish that this production was the length of a feature film.
