I'm gonna start of by saying the 1 star reviews are ridiculous, and so are the 10 star reviews. So many people are butthurt because Arthur is black. It's a fantasy show with fey god damnit, who cares if Arthur is black?!

This last episode made it clear that this was kind of the backstory to how Nimue eventually evolves into the Lady of the Lake (I presume). So I'm really hoping this gets a second season, because it does have a lot of potential and it really ended on quite a cliffhanger with Merlin getting his powers back and Nimue getting shot by sister Iris (please get rid of that ridiculous gold mask for season2, thanks).

I wish they would've actually expanded on how Morgana became The Widow, it just kinda happened out of nowhere and was very conventient, same goes for Merlin getting his powers back just by touching the sword (or maybe a mix of anger, grief and the sword?), god why didn't he just touch the sword earlier.

It also shows how powerful a witch can be with the sword (I know Nimue is not a druid), but I hope we see more of her with the sword and growing her power, because so far, all she's done is the storm and kill a bunch of paladins with trees (which I thought she could also do without the sword?)

Anyway, that was kind of a confusing all over the place review I think.

I really hope we'll get a second season to this, DO NOT believe all the negative reviews, it's abit ridiculous imo.

This is good finale with not-so-bad cliffhanger. It started rather slow and meanders in the first half, but then the second half is action packed. The battle between the cumber king guys and the fey was intense. It was well shot.

Merlin finally got his powers back, which is amazing because he doesn't do that much except talking.

How did the Morgana became The Widow, with no concrete explanation, no nothing, just out of blue, she's the widow. It a bit ridiculous, I hope we'll get more explanation in the next season ( i.e if it is renewed)

The bridge scene was good but the CGI could have better. And How the hell Sister Iris found them? She just showed like that, was she following them? I don't know but that seemed very unlikely.

Morgana or should I say The Widow was just watching and did nothing while Nimue was being shot at, she didn't do anything, isn't she The Widow? Thought she could teleport in the blink of an eye, she could have done something.

The Weeping Monk is one of this show's best characters. The actor portraying him is good and charismatic. Ohh and the big reveal that he's Lancelot kinda makes me want to come back for s2. Him and squirrel are a good pair, kinda reminds of The hound-Arya dynamic in GOT. His redemption arc seemed a little bit rushed tho but it's just getting started I guess. Hope they'll elaborate on that in the next season.

From the beginning I hope The Weeping Monk will die, because I was annoyed all of Red Paladins actions but especially this monk. However my feelings changed and I think The Weeping Monk is the best character at this show. His character evolution can see throught the first episode. I wish they show us that monk more with his moral issues in season 2.

And how Morgana became the Widow? Morgana's story line is not satisfying. And show us more magic please.

I have to say I had my doubts with the show because of the low reviews but I'm actually glad I didn't listen to them!!

It was a good season 1 and the show has so much potential for upcoming seasons. There are some decisions made by the characters which I didn't totally get but it was still really enjoyable.

The only thing I didn't like was Morgana becoming the widow (mostly because it just happened without explanation how she was able to kill her) and the deaths of Arthur's squire and Dof, they were good comic relief.

DO NOT LISTEN TO ALL THE HATE, you might miss a good fantasy show.

Netflix has been canceling shows left and right, blaming it all on COVID. Seeing this show has been a big mess throughout and it's viewership far from stellar AND that is must be costly to make (the only true saving grace is the wonderful cinematography, sets, and locations); the show is a perfect candidate for non-renewal.

While there is much more story to tell (Lancelot's redemption, Morgana becoming Morgan Le Fey, Merlin finally having his powers back, Nimue becoming the Lady of the Lake, Arthur becoming THE Arthur, etc) I doubt the shows writers are up to the task.

Frank Miller, the creator, is a legend and no doubt his source material is fantastic, but this show was a drag 98% of the time.

I will be very surprised if it returns.
