This TV drama is a good example of a short, but exciting thriller series. The action takes place in New-York in the family of a highly paid psychotherapist Grace and a seasoned pediatric oncologist Jonathan, portrayed by Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.
Grace appears to have a charmed life: she comes from an affluent family, she has a beloved husband, a bright son, and a successful career.
However, out of the blue, strange things start to happen. First, she encounters with Elena, a mother of her son's classmate, in several public places, and a few days later Elena is found bludgeoned to death. Meanwhile, Jonathan mysteriously disappears and becomes the main suspect in the eyes of the law, but the prosecutor doesn't have enough evidence...
In this series, the costumes of the main characters are very well designed: Grace is elegantly dressed without appearing mediocre. Besides, there are quite a few details in the clothes of all the characters that are interesting to look at.
The interiors are also fascinating. For example, Grace's father house is located in an old striking building with a large hall, where he plays the white grand piano. The apartment also has a balcony on the top floor of a skyscraper with a view of the entire city.
I would also like to highlight that in this series there are a lot of psychologically complex and interesting secondary characters, whose lives intertwine and whose personal stories are fascinating to observe.
I would highly recommend this TV drama to those who don't have the patience to watch a long, monotonous series and who love thrillers and whodoneit movies, as well as drama and visually stunning shots.
