"White women's tears"
sydnee_man17 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show was so frustrating. There is a massive catastrophic event going on, and some dumb woman takes off on her own for completely SELFISH reasons! But because she is an "essential" scientist, the military agrees to escort her on a foolish selfish errand. Many people die because of her - even a child! All because she wanted to find her sister. Like nobody else lost a loved one. So let's just focus on her.

Then the military just goes back to the base and act like nothing really happened. I would've left her to fend for herself. Or lock her up! at the base. That's what people in authority do to so many "other" people. She was the reason people died! But in this poorly written series, I'm not surprised the writers weren't able to create a more dramatic, realistic, and intelligent scenario.

Rips 28 Days Later but without any Aliens or Zombies
Johnny_West24 February 2020
This episode is almost an exact rip-off of every scene from the beginning of 28 Days Later. The only difference is that there are no zombies or aliens in this highly boring and disappointing TV series episode.

Imagine 28 Days Later if they just spent an hour running around an empty city, with dead people laying on the ground? Just random looting of stores by the few survivors. Kind of a sweat deal, except there is no electricity.

The professor who is the smartest person in the military base immediately freaks out and goes nuts looking for her sister by running down a hill. Totally ridiculous stuff. Like the first episode, endless amounts of time are spent watching people pack their bags, and have pointless and boring discussion. Just a laughable adaptation of the HG Wells novel.

Pointless and Pathetic
Johnny_West24 February 2020
No special effects. No aliens. No nothing.

Another episode where all the characters talk about how much danger they are in. The soldiers and the lead scientist go to town to look for her sister (that is her priority during a massive world-wide holocaust-invasion event). The soldiers are attacked by looters who control a supermarket. Being French soldiers, they lose.

The genius scientist manages to find a little girl and gets her killed. Like in every movie, the women always trip and fall down when they run. Sad, pathetic, and predictable. This episode manages to be dumber and more boring than the first one.

Horribly Boring Garbage
panzerstein24 February 2020
No aliens again, for the second episode in a row, a TV series about an alien invasion features zero aliens.

We do see a lot of people laying around, parked cars, and a few folks looting stores. The main character, the lady scientist played by Lea Drucker, manages to run around screaming a lot. There is no point even discussing what is going on in this episode, it is just a total waste of time.

If you have seen the beginning of The Omega Man, Resident Evil, or 28 Days Later, when the characters are running around a desolated town, that is about it. Nothing happens, just some cheap scares and a lot of talking, sulking, and moping. Very boring waste of time.
