Congratulations, Chris Savino. You managed to make Seth MacFalrane's cancelled Flintstones reboot more faithful by comparison.
30 December 2023
I don't even remember why I supported Chris Savino in the past. If you thought what he did to Dexter's Laboratory, the Powerpuff Girls, and even Johnny Test to an extent was bad, they're all nothing compared to what he did to the Flintstones. Not helping was the fact that this movie was made by the same guy who created the Loud House on Nickelodeon, which honestly didn't hold up today.

Just nothing about this film makes any sense whatsoever. I get that the creators wanted the film to be more adult by today's standards, and yes, the Flintstones was made for adults from the beginning, but this doesn't feel like the Flintstones, this feels more like Married with Children and modern Family Guy. I don't wanna sound like Rowdy C Moore, since I'm honestly not the biggest fan of his videos, but yeah.

This movie is so heartless, it flandarized Fred as a character, and not to mention, the fact that this was racist towards Mexicans is no wonder Cartoon Network banned the film from broadcast. I guess Cartoon Network realized that Speedy Gonzales wasn't as offensive to Mexicans as they thought.

I will say that the animation is pretty good, and I do enjoy the voice acting, but even those aren't enough. I may not like Stone Age SmackDown!, but even that's better than this! If Chris Savino's time at Cartoon Network was a disaster, then why give him his own show on Nickelodeon. The less said about his real actions, the better. This is why David Straiton should've been producer on Johnny Test, and Dave Wasson or Charlie Bean should've been director on Johnny Test as well. Had Universal Kids been launched in 1996, they could've been a better home for Johnny Test than Kids' WB!

Don't get me wrong, the revival era of Dexter's Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls were terrible, but at least they improved a bit by season 4 and season 6 respectively. This feels like if you turned the Loud House into an adult cartoon. Don't watch it.

Chop Socky Chooks (2007–2008)

Not as bad as Planet Sketch, but it's still bad.
12 October 2023
Don't get me wrong, in execution, Chop Socky Chooks is absolutely terrible! The writing is poorly executed, the characters are uninteresting, the designs of the chickens look conceptually pathetic, the setting is just downright insane, the action is lazy, a lot of the jokes are not even funny, and the show itself is so boring!

That being said, it's far from the worst thing Aardman has ever made. That already goes to Planet Sketch. To be honest, Chop Socky Chooks had potential to be a really good show! Admittedly, outside of the chickens, the art is highly creative and imaginative, the animation is surprisingly decent, the voice acting is impressive, and it had an honesty good concept!

I just wish it had better execution; we could've had strong character development and story arcs galore. Cartoon Network and Teletoon collaborating on a Decode/Aardman collab honestly sounds like a good idea, but in execution, it's terrible! It's not the worst show I've ever seen, but it's still pathetic. Still, Planet Sketch is already worse.

I thought the original was bad, this version is even worse.
8 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Yeah, it's no surprise that I never cared for the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film by Mel Stuart. People were so harsh on the Tim Burton version. Neither of those films would be any more insulting than this version. I love the Tim Burton version, I still think it's a great film! Sorry, Gene Wilder, but you're wrong.

Don't get me wrong. Roald Dahl was a terrible person! You know exactly why. But while he's a lousy person, he was a very talented writer. The original Willy Wonka film was made to promote the real Wonka candies, but this is way worse!!! Almost everything in this movie is inconsistent!!

I love Tom and Jerry, but they add nothing to the story. They portray Willy Wonka even worse than the original film, and not to mention, Tuffy. Nothing about this makes any sense. Don't watch it.

I knew I was gonna get hate from people who defended the Gene Wilder version, but just to avoid getting in trouble, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is not the worst film adaptation of a book I've ever seen; that still goes to the 2003 Cat in the Hat film.

Not a bad cartoon, but a rather mediocre and boring one.
27 January 2023
Listen, I do NOT hate people who have no arms. That said, while armless people can be amazing, it's honestly sad to see people without arms. So, this does have an interesting concept. And for what it's worth, it proudly deserved credit for featuring Cartoon Network's first explicitly armless protagonist.

That said, I don't think it was that good. No, I don't think it's bad either. Hannah is pretty, but she didn't need to hit Slim so hard so many times. The writing and jokes were just meh, the animation meh, the acting is pretty good, though. But the characters were meh. Just about everything about this show was meh.

This show is lucky it's not as bad as the Groovenians. While sad it never got picked up, it was a rather boring pilot overall. Hey, it could've been a lot worse. Imagine if this was made by Justin Roiland, then it would've turned out horrible. It's not bad for a Western-themed cartoon, though. Fine parody, but meh cartoon.

The original movie was terrible, the Tim Burton version is way better.
25 January 2023
Sorry to make you upset, but isn't Charlie and the Chocolate Factory SUPPOSED to be dark, twisted, and scary? Look, the 1971 film was terrible. It was a critical and financial failure upon its release, and I'm not even kidding when I said that. The 1971 film was made just to be a feature length commercial for real life Wonka candies by Quaker Oats (no joke).

I am so tired of people saying that the 1971 film is far more superior than the Tim Burton version. No offense to Gene Wilder, but Johnny Depp is the true Willy Wonka. Slugworth wasn't needed, no fizzy lifting drink scene, no easily forgiveness, and all we see is exactly how Roald Dahl wanted. Sure, they may not've included Wonka's poem, but the tunnel scene is still creative and fun.

Seriously, if you read the original book, you'll know why people love the film. Sure, not every film based on a book repeats the book beat by beat, but Roald Dahl stories are different. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a critical and commercial success. It stayed true to the original source material, it has better writing, and the bratty kids actually get punished for their bratty actions.

It's like this film doesn't believe in karma houdinis. Seriously, you can NEVER top the 2005 film. Can you top the 1971 film? Absolutely!

So uncomfortable and boring
20 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I have a confession to make. I didn't like the 191 Mel Stuart film. Now, before you come and attack me, let me just say that I am NOT forcing you to hate it, but I want you to actually UNDERSTAND how I feel about it.

I'm aware it's been referenced in popular culture, and yes, I did love Wonka candies as a kid, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna like the movie. Even if I didn't read the original Roald Dahl book, it did not feel like the book this movie was based on.

It's just a feature length commercial for Wonka candies. No wonder Roald Dahl hated the movie. It was such an insult to his hit book, it received poor reviews upon its release, and bombed at the box office for good reason. The writing is too play it safe. The acting (even with such talent) is dry. The sets are fake. The chocolate river isn't even real chocolate. Slugworth isn't needed. The fizzy lifting drinks are wasted and unnecessary. And while most of the songs are fine on their own, they don't fit the Roald Dahl tone of the story.

The Oompah Loompah song got very annoying after four times. I'm sure it's not as bad as the version with Tom and Jerry, but I didn't laugh once at this movie. Not to mention that the characters in the movie are poorly written. I honestly prefer the Tim Burton version of the movie, because it's a lot closer to the original book than this.

This is not Aardman
3 November 2022
Don't get me wrong, Aardman can do good with CGI, and the Nick Park designs can work in CGI. I am a fan of Aardman, but this? I remember watching this on Nicktoons Network through Shorts in a Bunch, and I'm surprised it was aired in the same half hour as the Modifyers as part of that show.

It's aggressively unfunny, and ugly as sin. Nothing about this show made me laugh. The writing is edgy in an embarrassing way, the jokes are either generic or ungodly senseless, the characters aren't interesting, there's so much immature humor; seriously, What's so funny about a farting horse? It's worse than Chop Socky Chooks. At least that show (also by Aardman and Decode) had a slight bit of potential, and actually had (with the exception of the chickens) creative vinyl figure designs, but this is just horrible.

I wish I never saw this as a kid.

Childhood memories
30 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I actually do remember the Nicktoons Film Festival when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it. I remember the Mad Scientist Show, English Bwudd, Magical Trevor, etc.

A lot of the short films feature there were awesome. One other aspect I really liked was the theme song from 2004 to 2005, and yet I can't find it anywhere on the internet. The 2006-2007 intro is good too, but not as good. Other than that, I miss this show. Bring it back in reruns, or have it released on physical media or even Paramount+!

The Nicktoons Film Festival was so cool, I wanna see it again! I'd even be happy to own it on DVD!!

Stressed Eric (1998–2000)

Klasky Csupo's worst show yet.
13 August 2022
I know I've been harsh on Klasky Csupo, but I do realize why the studio has a fanbase. Sure, I still don't like most of their shows, like with Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, Santo Bugito even, As Told by Ginger, or even All Grown Up!, but they're not the worst animation studio in the world. Yet they really need to stop doing NFT artwork. That said, while As Told by Ginger may be the studio's worst looking in terms of their style, Stressed Eric (even if they only did season one) is the studio's worst show yet.

And for good reason. It's a show about a man who constantly gets tortured for no reason. If the Loud House now would be a throwback to any show by Klasky Csupo, it would definitely be Stressed Eric.

I felt so bad for Eric. Why was this on NBC?? Even Klasky Csupo fans hate this show. And I don't blame them. The characters are uninteresting, the animation sucks, the style is lame, the writing is too sadistic, and nothing is funny. Don't watch it!! Even if you love the studio's works, I don't recommend this one!

Santo Bugito (1995)
5/10
I just personally don't like it very much.
8 August 2022
Okay, I'll admit that I was harsh on Klasky Csupo. I still don't like most of their work, to be honest. That being said, I don't even know why I was harsh on the studio. They did the first three seasons of the Simpsons, they did Duckman (the studio's best show yet), they did Don Martin and Spy vs. Spy segments for MADtv, and they even did various Nickelodeon shows I know a lot of people really like. Rugrats, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power to an extent, As Told by Ginger, and even All Grown Up.

I still think Stressed Eric was the studio at their worst. Santo Bugito? Meh.

I will give credit for being the first Tex-Mex cartoon, but some people would consider this to be the 1990s Buzz on Maggie. I just find the show overall mediocre, lazy, and boring. It's not god awful, but it's just not my cup of tea.

Sorry, Loud House fans, but I did not like the film.
19 April 2022
At first, I thought the film was gonna be a fine movie. And I finally got a chance to watch it on Netflix, and I didn't like it.

I will admit, the Loud House was good when it came out. Yes, I was a bit of a fan of it, but to be honest, I didn't watch too much of it. Maybe it was just a bit overrated. It was still good, but not my favorite.

Though I'm sure many people had the belief that the show has improved without Chris Savino's involvement. He deserved to be fired for sexual harassment, don't get me wrong. But that makes me wonder if he actually DID deserve his own show, considering the fact that he was hated for his work on the last two seasons of Dexter's Laboratory and the Powerpuff Girls.

He was also hated for his work on My Gym Partner's a Monkey, as well as his own comic: the Complex Adventures of Eddie Puss, which features incest.

But separating the art from the artist won't always work. The Loud House went through troubled production, and from what I've heard, the show got worse without him. And I suppose the Casagrande spin-off probably wasn't as memorable, to be honest.

And then came the Loud House movie, which was announced when the show was at the height of its popularity, but by 2019, when the Netflix release date was announced, the show's ratings began to decline.

I didn't get a chance to watch the film in 2021, but after I finally did, I did not like it. I'll admit that some lighting effects did look really good. It did have a genuinely touching moment with Clyde, and the opening scenes were promising, but by the Lynn's Table scene, things started to go downhill from there.

And the songs, while the first few were fine, went downhill with Ordinary Me, where Lincoln sings in autotune. Why?

And it turns out, the Louds are Scottish royalty, because... royalty runs in the family?

The Loud House didn't need an extravagant fantasy story. Why are there ghosts and dragons? To cash in on the success of Disney films. Oh, and the songs too. Let's not forget the not so necessary remake: the Loud Castle. Was the song worth it? Honestly, not really.

Most of the songs are just modern pop-style songs for the sake of hipster viewers.

While it did have some sweet moments, most of the heartfelt scenes (mainly the ending) felt rushed. Not to mention, the moments where Lincoln was in his sisters' shadows were too mean.

The animation sucked, the songs are inconsistent, the story makes no sense, it felt too rushed, Morag sucked as a villain, nothing about it makes any sense, and... it was just made to cash in on the legacy of Disney films. It's like a feature length Atlantis SquarePantis, in a way! Even if I WAS STILL a fan of the Loud House, I'd be very disappointed in this film, tbh.

Was it the worst movie I've ever seen? No. It was just a terrible, disappointing, and underwhelmingly boring mess. Overall, 3/10 for this film.

I don't care what the haters have to say, I love this show!
18 August 2021
You guys need to grow up. This isn't the 1990s or the 1960s anymore. All you haters do is just live in your mothers' basements and whine about every single change in the show.

For once, I love this show. Why was I excited for it? Because I am a big BIG fan of C. H. Greenblatt's work. I am a fan of Chowder and Harvey Beaks. I enjoyed a number of Hanna-Barbera cartoons as well, though they are not without their faults.

Jellystone! Is a much better interpretation of the Hanna-Barbera than Yo Yogi!, because it made the characters do new and interesting things.

It also has more of a vibe to Busytown and Looney Tunes. The former especially making since, since C. H. Greenblatt was influenced by Richard Scarry.

I don't mind how they changed the characters' genders, like Loopy De Loop or Jabberjaw (unlike the transphobic haters).

Though I will say, I'm not a big fan of Shag Rugg's character that much. But the only major issue I have is that where's Secret Squirrel? Hopefully, he'll be back for season two.

This is a show I especially wanted the Wacky World of Tex Avery to be. I'd even prefer this over ThunderCats Roar and even Teen Titans Go!

C. H. Greenblatt, you have outdone yourself, my man!

A straight-to-video sequel that somehow turned out better than the first film.
18 May 2021
Now, now, keep an open mind. This is my own personal opinion.

Yeah, I know, it still won't top Trouble in Tokyo, or even Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but I just love watching the original Titans again. Yeah, I will say, some of the writing can be a little immature, two songs weren't very memorable, the animation on the 2003 counterparts aren't as well done, and it just wasn't the best comeback for the 2003 series. But the writing, most of the time, can be very good, most of the jokes can be funny, it does have its more serious moments, the acting is great, the fight scenes are epic, and I just love how the Teen Titans of infinite Earths joined together.

Yes, there are a number of aspects the first film did better, mostly with the backgrounds, but I just preferred this.

Honestly, I'd take this over Kangaroo Jack: G'Day, USA!, the Lego Ninjago Movie, Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the Norm of the North sequels, In Search of the Titanic, and Ice Age: Continental Drift, any day.

I can only recommend this who are interested. If you do enjoy both versions of Teen Titans, check it out. If you don't enjoy Teen Titans Go! At all, then don't watch it.

Overall, while I still wanted a season 6 of the original, I say this is a very decent movie.

This feels more like a Cartoon Network show than a Disney show, and I love it.
12 January 2021
I'm not gonna lie, I REALLY love Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! I remember watching it on Jetix, and it was really cool. It had great plots, cool action, memorable characters, a killer theme song, and fantastic animation. Featuring the voices of Tom Kenny, Greg Cipes, Kevin Michael Richardson, Mark Hamill, Corey Feldman, Ashley Johnson, Clancy Brown, and Kari Wahlgren, and having the creators of the Modifyers as crew members, it had it all! This feels very anime, even for Disney. It felt more like something I'd expect from Cartoon Network, not from Disney. And yet, I love it! It may contain science fiction, but it doesn't rely on it. I highly recommend it!

Absolute childhood trauma, yet it's not even as fun as Courage the Cowardly Dog or the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack
9 July 2020
I am sorry if I bashed on preschool shows. I know they're for kids, and I will learn to ignore them, but most of the shows just honestly get on my nerve. But then there's this one little show for kids that really scared me when I was little. Yes, Soupe Opéra. Oh, good god!!! I remember when I was a little boy watching Cartoon Network during the early days of my youth. The show clearly has no actual plot whatsoever, and mainly consists of just weird skits of fruits and vegetables cutting themselves up to form animals and do random skits. This all happens in a dark, empty room, while some haunting "music" plays in the background. That's it. That is literally what "Soupe Opera" is. I'm sorry, but this show is way too weird and haunting for me. Sure, there are scary stuff that I like such as Courage the Cowardly Dog and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, but this feels like one of those scary logos, only 2 minutes long!!!

I honestly recommend you DON'T watch this show.

What did I just watch??
13 May 2020
The concept of putting a dark twist on Fairy Tales is not a bad concept. What RUINED it was the execution. JJ Villard (yes, the same guy behind King Star King and Trap Universe) just managed to take dark comedy and surrealism WAY too seriously!! The characters never shut the hell up, it's too drugged up, the art turns me off, it's too raunchy, and it's so disgusting!!!

This, like King Star King and Mr. Pickles, could be the next Superjail! All four are horrible Adult Swim shows that rely way too much on shock humor just to get a cheap laugh. It's hard to believe this was animated by Saerom Animation of all studios!! Yeah, the animation studio behind a really good show like the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack did the animation for this show!!! I know this was not the first time Saerom worked with Villard (that also happened in Trap Universe, a failed pilot), but to make matters more insane, and I know this has been common in various of other Adult Swim shows, is that unlike Villard's two other works for Adult Swim, this was not done at Titmouse, this was done at Cartoon Network Studios!!! Cartoon Network Studios has been known for producing such great material for Adult Swim, including Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, Samurai Jack, Korgoth of Barbaria (though a failed pilot), Black Dynamite, and Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal. Even Welcome to Eltingville is quite good. I know CN Studios also did the Groovenians, and that sucked too, but still!!

I also felt like John Kricfalusi also had involvement with this series!! Then again, why would I expect quality from the same guy behind King Star King. There's too much blood and gore, so much gross-out jokes, terrible voice acting, and the way the characters move, all done at Saerom?? It's like if JJ Villard REALLY wanted to copy the animation movement in South Park, and that show actually WAS fun to watch for 16 seasons!! I get wanting to take inspiration from South Park, but this just feels so wrong!! The way Saerom animated this show is so lousy!! They have done better works in animation, like Amphibia and Flapjack, but this has got to be the worst animation Saerom has ever done. I do not reccommend this show!!

A mediocre movie based on an otherwise great show.
9 May 2020
Don't get me wrong, I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's one of my favorite Adult Swim cartoons. However, in all honesty, I don't like the movie as much. I was kind of disappointed by the movie. It's just nothing but a feature length episode of the TV show instead of a project that can stand on its own. I don't think the movie is bad either. What I do like about the movie is that it stays true to the original series it was adapted from. I like how it was the second time Cartoon Network had involvement with a theatrical feature film after the Powerpuff Girls Movie. The voice acting is pretty good, the animation is decent, some of the jokes did make me laugh, the soundtrack is pretty cool, the art is nice, introduction to Chicken Bittle, and I like how it's the first time Adult Swim had involvements with a theatrical feature film. What I don't like about the movie is that it acted way too much like the show it was based on. The characters are not as memorable as from the show, the writing is weak and offers nothing, most of the humor is stretched out and didn't make that much sense, how the ending just felt contradicting, how they sometimes almost censor the f word, judging by the fact that the movie is Rated R, how the story is on and off, and worst of all, how the movie was promoted with the infamous Boston Bomb Scare that ruined Cartoon Network in 2007.

They could've done so much more with this movie. You shouldn't try to copy Disney, yes, you should be your own thing, but Movie Film for Theaters just felt weak. It's honestly not as fun to watch as movies like Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, or even the Simpsons Movie. Then again, it's not the worst movie I have ever seen.

I understand that there are fans of the show that enjoy the movie, and there's nothing wrong with that. I just believe Aqua Teen Hunger Force works better in 10 minute shorts rather than a feature film.

Looney Tunes Cartoons (2019–2023)

Best Looney Tunes Show in Years, and Peter Browngardt's best creation
6 January 2020
As you may know, I LOVE Looney Tunes! Who doesn't? I love the characters, I love the jokes, I love the animation, everything. We may have gotten plenty of great shows like Duck Dodgers and Animaniacs, for example, but we also had terrible shows, such as Loonatics Unleased and Baby Looney Tunes (those two shows were terrible). Wabbit/New Looney Tunes was okay, but did improve a little more as it went on.

This feels a LOT more like the classic Looney Tunes shorts of the golden age. And yes, this was made by Peter Browngardt, who also gave us two of Cartoon Network's horrible and drugged-up shows Secret Mountain Fort Awesome and Uncle Grandpa. There actually WAS a time where Browngardt had talent, working on Futurama, Venture Brothers, Chowder, and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

I have a feeling Looney Tunes Cartoons is not only the best cartoon Browngardt has ever created, but is also the only good one of his creations to date. I can't wait to see it on HBO Max soon.

Phineas and Ferb (2007–2024)
8/10
One of the cartoons that I somehow regret hating on.
3 October 2019
I was actually made fun of for liking Phineas and Ferb, which made me hate Phineas and Ferb. Whoever made fun of me for liking Phineas and Ferb should be ashamed of themselves!!

Looking back, Phineas and Ferb actually WAS a great show. It may not have been my favorite Disney Channel show, but it actually IS better than garbage like Johnny Test or Fish Hooks or Hannah Montana.

It had a lot of likable characters, catchy songs, great animation, a very unique art style, and funny jokes. It certainly wasn't the best cartoon in a long time, but I ultimately regret hating on the show. Isabella is quite cute, and is very likable, but Vanessa is honestly my favorite character in the show.

Cable Animation was doing fine until 2006, when Ben 10 came out. However, Phineas and Ferb was one of those shows that DID help revive animation for cable, much like Chowder and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

The only problem I still have with the show is that it can be quite repetitive at times, but I'm sure there's more to the show than just the plot. After all, we wouldn't have Milo Murphy's Law OR Gravity Falls if it wasn't for this.

Not sure if this was comparable to Dexter's Laboratory in concept, but I still think it's way better than Jimmy Neutron and Johnny Test. I was so rough on Phineas and Ferb, and I do wanna apologize to the people working on the show.

This show, after all, WAS part of my childhood. While I don't think it deserves a reboot OR revival, it IS worth rewatching. Dan and Swampy, even BEFORE Milo Murphy's Law, you guys still did good.

Not even surprised the Banana Splits are murderers
22 August 2019
I don't care if this movie is a rip-off of Five Nights at Freddy's!! I never even LIKED the Banana Splits to begin with!! I mean, it was a LIVE-ACTION show made in 1968 by HANNA-BARBERA!!!! THAT is how bad it was. And it becomes even worse when it aired on Cartoon Network in 1992. HOW COME BIG BAG AND THE BANANA SPLITS DIDN'T GET THE SAME TREATMENT AS CN REAL OR OUT OF JIMMY'S HEAD??!!

The original Banana Splits show was too scary, that I felt they were gonna kill me!! And guess what, Warner Bros. finally exposed the truth!! The Banana Splits WERE, have ALWAYS been, and FOREVER WILL BE murderers!!

And people say the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack was so bad it's scary, that goes to the original Banana Splits and ANYTHING by Sid and Marty Krofft (who designed puppets for that Banana Splits show). Yes, the fact that Sid and Marty Krofft designed the puppets for the Banana Splits is the REAL reason why Warner Bros. exposed them as murderers!!

Michael Pataki is rolling in his grave!!
7 July 2019
WHY ISN'T JOHN KRICFALUSI IN JAIL??!! This guy is nothing more but a child predator!! He still thinks he has a job, when really he DOESN'T!!! Poor Michael Pataki (George Liquor's voice) is rolling in his grave, because of this guy!!

Has John Kricfalusi not learned after Adult Party Cartoon??!! And to think, I actually used to look up to the guy!! Well, now I know why people say Bob Camp was the REAL creator of Ren and Stimpy!! Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if John Kricfalusi attempted to murder animals, especially if they were panda bears, because he'd be just as bad of a human being!!! Now I know why working with him is a nightmare!! He was cruel, difficult to work with, inappropriate, and is a child predator!! George Liquor is literally just FORCING his nephews to eat the face that in a can with no label. This guy loves to slander Spielberg for absolutely no reason!!!

I am convinced that John Kricfalusi is no longer talented!!! Yes, just because someone isn't talented, doesn't mean they're a bad person, unless that someone is Justin Bieber or John Kricfalusi.

The writing is abysmal, the animation is way too over the top, the art is now atrocious, just EVERYTHING about this short is awful!!! Why was this made??!! This guy needs to be arrested for being a child predator!!!

My Gym Partner's a Monkey would've been executed well if the animals actually gave a LOT of respect to Adam Lyon, and treated him like he's the king of the jungle, like Tarzan. But nope, they just treated him like garbage. Yes, the animation, art, and voice acting are REALLY good, but compared to better quality shows on Cartoon Network back then, such as Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Camp Lazlo!, and the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, My Gym Partner's a Monkey aged horribly.

Yes, it is interesting that the show was animated by Saerom, who also animated Flapjack and Regular Show, but this show never aged well. The only other character I liked was Kerry, because she actually CARES about Adam. Since the animals treat him like garbage, Adam Lyon doesn't even DESERVE to attend Charles Darwin Middle School. He's just better off at his old school.

This show was just a poor attempt to cross Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends with Camp Lazlo! The characters, minus Adam and Kerry, are unlikable, especially Jake Spidermonkey, who always talks about his butt, and it wasn't even funny the first time. I can't believe Cartoon Network forgot about Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi for shows like this and Ben 10. My Gym Partner's a Monkey should've been forgotten, AND written out by the channel.

Fish Hooks (2010–2014)

Wasted talent in animation
22 May 2019
At least Phineas and Ferb was good when it first premiered, looking back in that show now. Fish Hooks? No! Fish Hooks is TERRIBLE!!! It's the same school show we've seen since Doug!! This show wasted such crew talents as Lynne Naylor (creator of the Modifyers), C. H. Greenblatt (creator of Chowder), Alex Hirsch (creator of Gravity Falls), Maxwell Atoms (creator of the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy), Justin Roiland (creator of Rick and Morty), AND Tom Warburton (creator of Codename: Kids Next Door)!!! Those people were better off working on Phineas and Ferb than this atrocity.

Even the voice acting is lousy!! WHY ARE CARLOS ALAZRAQUI, JOHN DIMAGGIO, JEFF BENNETT, JASON ALEXANDER, GREY GRIFFIN, RICHARD HORVITZ, etc. VOICING CHARACTERS IN THIS SHOW??!! Oscar, Albert, and Mr. Baldwin are honestly the best characters, yet the rest are just unlikable!! Bea is a selfish teenager, Milo is obnoxious, and everyone else is annoying!! Do I recommend this show?? NO!!! This show sucks.

It's not really that bad, it was just plain weird
5 May 2019
Call me shallow, but I for one don't think the revival run of Dexter's Laboratory was that bad. I'll admit that Chris Savino didn't do as great of a job as Genndy Tartakovsky did, and yes, Dexter's Laboratory should've ended after Ego Trip, but does that mean the revival run should earn the same treatment as the 2016 Powerpuff Girls reboot? No. True, they did deliver episodes that are not very good, such as a Third Dad Cartoon or Garage Sale, but I do enjoy a number of episodes from its second run, such as Glove at First Sight, a Boy Named Sue, and Dexter the Barbarian. I know, the new art style isn't as good, but it's really not that bad. The character designs were pretty good, and it's interesting that they were done by Chris Battle, who also designed characters for AAAHH!!! Real Monsters and the Powerpuff Girls. The background designs do look similar to some of Cartoon Network's other shows during the time, such as Time Squad, the Powerpuff Girls, and Samurai Jack. I wouldn't call the new art style awful, because I already have seen cartoons that look way worse, such as the Problem Solverz, Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron, and Peppa Pig. Hell, Mike, Lu and Og especially looks worse than Dexter's Laboratory in its revival run.

But I will admit that Chicken Scratch was probably not the show's best episode. I don't find it bad, I just thought it was just plain weird. Mostly the concept and even the execution. I like how cartoony the animation is done, and I still enjoy Candi Milo's performance as Dexter, even though Christine Cavanaugh did better. But I do think it's plain weird that Dexter randomly had chicken pox, and can't find a cure for it.

It was just a weird episode that was featured as part of the Powerpuff Girls Movie. But even if they did remove some memorable characters, Dexter's Laboratory in its revival run has earned way too much hate, that I think the hate has just became so tiring and annoying.

One aspect that is the most interesting is some of the new crew members, including Aaron Springer, Cindy Morrow, Walt Dorn, and the late Chris Reccardi.

Genndy Tartakovsky was the one who put Chris Savino in charge, not Cartoon Network. Do you really have to hate on Chris Savino's work on Dexter's Laboratory in its entirety? I'm very positive Nick Jennings and Bob Boyle would do a WAY worse job than Savino. But yeah, Chicken Scratch was just plain weird.

What a Cartoon!: Foe Paws (2000)
Season 2, Episode 8

On second thought, this pilot didn't age well.
30 March 2019
Looking back, this pilot was definitely doomed from the get go. I wanted to find some good within this cartoon, but no. It's lazy, unoriginal, and unfunny. And yet, how come the Loud House didn't get the same treatment??

None of the characters interested me, the humor is nonexistent, Mama Mia is an Italian stereotype, and it's no wonder this pilot lost to Billy and Mandy.

And yes, it involves a stuck up cat and a stupid dog. Because that's original, right?

Nothing about this pilot makes any sense. It's clear that Chris Savino wanted to make the Cartoon Network version of CatDog, because both dogs are voiced by Tom Kenny. My advice, stay away from this pilot!
