Run (1991) was another star vehicle for one of Hollywood's strangest leading men Patrick Demspey. A reed thin actor with an average mug who made a name for himself during the late 80's through the early 90's. Run was one of his last roles as a leading man. In this film, Patrick plays a very naive guy who manages to get into an "card game" with some very shady individuals. Not one of the brightest bulbs (or street smart), he manages to tick off the son of a hard boiled gangster. Dumb kid, he didn't know when to quit and he winds up on the "run".
I thought this movie was kind of cool when I was in high school (maybe because I always watched the first half and never had a chance to finish it) but it's just another "man wanted" type of flick. I saw it again a few years later and I was completely unimpressed. I don't know why I went out of my way to watch it because it blew big time.
