I went into this show with lower expectations that usual, as spin-offs generally do not live up to the original. I've read the books, where Queen Charlotte is not a character, so adding her to the original Bridgerton series felt forced. However, within the first few minutes of Queen Charlotte, I was hooked.
This was a beautiful love story. Well... Stories. My heart aches, not just for Charlotte and George, but for Agatha, Brimsley, and even Violet. Each one having a depth of character that amazed me. At the end I was openly crying, as it was such a beautifully told conclusion for each character.
All in all I am left bereft; saddened by a series that left me wanting more.
