Stella doesn't get her groove back

Better than the last episode but still perilously filled with teen angst (even from the adults). Use your words and a lot of these misunderstandings would go away. Decent acting and cinematography.

[6.5] The well-versed woman
cjonesas2 July 2021
The whole writing of the show and episodes is a mess with dismal editing, head-scratching happenings and development.; again good photography, VFX and some score.

The only decent character that was seen so far is the headmaster F. Dowling. ; Musa is also a more or less normal and relatable character with more than decent acting by Elisha Applebaum.

So far 4 out of 6 and going nowhere...

So who is the bad one?

This is the first episode of this show I really enjoyed how mysterious this episode was. There is only one question. Who is the bad one? Adults or Beatrix? Hmm... Interesting one

** 3.5 Stars ⭐💫 **

This episode was a little better than the last ones. It had less teen drama and more content related to Broom's past, which was a lot more interesting.

Fate: The Winx Saga deepens character ties as kids realize teachers are keeping secrets from them. Rosalind, who has a connection to Beatrix and Bloom, is suggested as a twin or from the same family. The teen drama continues, while fantasy elements are sidelined. The main concern is why there aren't cameras in the school, as electricity is available. The kids learn through essay papers and assemblies, mixed with various McGuffins, but the lack of background information is disappointing. In episode 4, Saul and Farah suspect a break-in attempt, but discover Callum's death through biometrics. Beatrix becomes obsessed with Bloom and follows her Instagram feed. Bloom recruits Aisha to investigate Callum's office and files. Terra and Musa arrive, and Bloom hides due to news of her Changeling status. Aisha uses a listening device in the office to detect the teachers' hidden agenda. Dane apologizes to Terra for the video, but she warns him to be cautious. Terra investigates his possessions and discovers Vessel Stones. Queen Luna arrives at school, while Bloom investigates the east wing. They encounter Sky, who questions their actions. They find a picture of Sky's father with Rosalind in the basement, and encounter Riven and Beatrix. The group becomes tension-ridden, and Bloom and Beatrix discuss Rosalind and break a lock into a war room, where they find a map and secret documents. The Queen warns Stella about the threat of Burned Ones to the school and kingdom. She shows her how powerful they can make magic and is unhappy with Dowling's perceived lack of progress. In the War Room, Bloom discovers clues about Aster Dell, which Beatrix short-circuits her phone. Despite initial doubts, she heads off with Beatrix in a stolen car. Beatrix takes Bloom to the outskirts of town and conjures Aster Dell from a ruinous place destroyed by the Burned Ones. Bloom believes she and Beatrix are connected, as she has seen visions of Dowling, Silva, and Harvey together. She plans to free Rosalind to find out more, but they are stopped by Dowling and the others. Stella is taken away from school, and the Queen decides to train her at home instead. The episode revolves around Farah, Harvey, and Silva, who attempt to investigate the events in Farah's office and Callum's whereabouts. They discover that a fairy killed Callum, and devise a plan to find out who it was, but are unsuccessful due to Bellatrix's absence. Bellatrix learns that Bloom is an exchanged due to Riven, who has been in charge of proclaiming it. She is deeply interested in Bloom and believes there is something ties their past together, although she still struggles to put the pieces together. Terra, Riven, and Dane are still in a toxic relationship that is causing problems. Dane tries to get Terra to forgive him for being an rude, but she remains confident and doesn't lower herself. She demonstrates her good nature and doesn't want to continue exploring Dane's potential. Terra is confident in herself and realizes that Dane is not worth it, and she rejects him. She respects herself enough not to want to know more about him and advises him not to trust just anyone, even those he now calls friends. The episode is filled with love and admiration for Terra, who is determined to wake up and face the challenges of their toxic relationship.

Where are these twists coming from?
vfwestphal24 January 2021
This chapter, we finally got a glimpse into some motivations that had been dormant up until now. Then, out of the blue, in five minutes, every role is reversed, with the only explanation being "open your eyes, it's always been like this". Everyone spins on a dime, and the portrayal of their characters change as if everyone were bipolar. Was M. Night a guest director this episode?

Missing Scenes or Stupid Characters?
mysamsungnoteultrag4 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I started liking this show and their complex world. But this episode seemed to show that there is a lot of lazy writing going on. And with a fantasy world that slowly unravels their rules, logic, legends, etc. Lazy writing is the absolute worse.

For example between 12 mins to 19 where is Sky or what is he thinking? No logical person ever would do what he did lol... He is helping Bloom search for clues about her parents, her birth, etc. then Beatrix and Riven show up. Beatrix reveals that Riven spread the fact that Bloom is a changeling. Sky goes outside to talk to Riven. Riven and Sky argue. And logical person where does he end up going? Next scene we see him he's working out and ignoring a text from Stella. Then next scene after that, he's stupidly walking into the dorm asking if Bloom is there... I mean is this guy an idiot or what? Nope has to be lazy writing like my goodness, Sky literally got upset from an argument ditched Bloom to go workout and then heads to the dorm to ask where Bloom is? THE ENTIRE TIME SHE'S IN THE SAME PLACE LOL.... THE PLACE she literally was about to break into which your father figure, Sylva has the key to? Which is hilarious because he said he would ask him the next time he sees him (While he is working out, Sylva walks by. He says nothing. LOL)

I really hope this does not become a consistent thing with this show.
