The Weavers take the Bird-Kersees to Atlantic City. Meanwhile, Dick's grandfather contacts him with plans to return the Zabvronian community to their home planet.
While his brother arranges to bring the Zabvronian community back to their home planet, a pregnant and conflicted Larry questions whether or not his family should remain on Earth.
The Zabvronians decide to mount a spontaneous musical number which culminates with Dick falling into an open well. Meanwhile the Weaver children take a holiday from rules and Reggie realizes he still has feelings for Amber.
The Weavers plan to skip Thanksgiving but soon find themselves hosting dinner for Marty's parents, the Bird-Kersees and Jackie's two homicidal sisters, one of whom is male.
Larry tries to grasp the concepts of April Fool's Day; Reggie attempts to rid himself of his Zabvronian soulmate; and Dick puts Max and Abby in an aging machine.
