The Film Still Is Just As Fresh And Funny Today
7 October 2023
Having seen "A Hard Day's Night" shortly after it was released to theaters, I have seen it many times since then and always find it just as humorous as my first viewing. The Beatles were a unique group and produced some amazing music which became more complex with each passing year they were together. Wilfrid Brambell is amusing as Paul's grandfather.

The film received positive reviews and holds an approval rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. The website's critics consensus reads: "A Hard Day's Night, despite its age, is still a delight to watch and has proven itself to be a rock-and-roll movie classic." It is difficult to understand the disdain it has received from some user reviews. For example one writes "many of their jokes fall flat, the songs seem about as spontaneous as a moon landing and the lack of structure make it a niche film." Another says. The Beatles "make constant wisecracks and jokes, but a lot of them seem to be sarcastic and mean-spirited, which I didn't find appealing at all." Why the hate?
