I was apprehensive going in because I loved the show growing up. But I really enjoyed it.
It was super cheesy. Over the top. Predictable. Divergent from the TV show. But somehow really fun. I leaned into the cheesiness and laughed at it.
I thought Shego and Drakken were great... the makeup and blue veins/scar were a good live action substitute for green/blue skin. Ron sounded very much like Ron and though he maybe leaned too much into it, made me nostalgic for the original. I enjoyed the callbacks like the villains on Villainstagram lol.
I was sad there was no Monique. Also no dialogue for Kim's dad, but someone had to take care of the tweebs :P
Who knows, maybe I'll rewatch the TV show then hate the movie. But I enjoyed it for what it is.
