Aside from not being funny, it's an okay comedy.

"Daredevil O'Dare" is a comedy from Vitaphone (a division of Warner Brothers) starring Ben Blue. However, it has one very serious problem...the comedy isn't particularly funny. Much of the time, the joke is looking at Blue's weird face...but that alone certainly isn't enough to carry this film.

When the short begins, Elmer O'Dare is up in his bedroom practicing to be in the circus. Oddly, he still lives with his parents and the treat him and talk about him like he's a child. Soon he runs away to join the circus and has a couple adventures on his way to being a circus performer. There are a few scenes with Shemp Howard but Blue and Howard simply have got nothing to work with due to the writing and that's really sad, as a circus film seems like a natural for a comedy. Not a bad film....just not a funny one.
