Teaching Steve to swim
gregorycanfield15 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is an OK episode, but I love the way it ends. Steve must learn how to swim, or he won't graduate from high school. Of course, he asks Carl to teach him. Nothing works until Laura falls into the pool. Steve forgets his fears, and jumps in to save her. Well, at least he tried! Laura winds up saving Steve. I love the way she says: "My hero." There were a few things that struck me here. Laura looked cute in her short skirt. I liked the way being dunked in the water didn't ruin her red lipstick. Most importantly, watching Laura and Steve just standing together got me emotional! They just looked so "right" for each other. It was also interesting that Steve referred to Laura as his "girl." Although Laura wouldn't have agreed (at least not at this point in the series), she didn't dispute the reference. This was so sweet! Steve and Laura make me smile.

Sink or Swim (#6.8)

Warning: Spoilers
Well, I am very glad that I didn't have to know how to swim to graduate my high school, but i really liked this episode's idea. Steve needs to pass the swim test and Carl is teaching it to him. The two of them have a great dynamics, I especially loved the synchronized swimming scene at the end. But so much more was great as well. Like Steve's swimming gear, so nerdy! Just fits him well. And all his swimming in general was hilarity.

The other story is about Rachel taking a dress from the store Harriet works in and when returning find out that it was damaged. Harriet doesn't want to take it back. It was alright, nothing too exciting
