An avarage Sunny episode
afurkankurt8 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This one was way funnier than the first episode. A lot better I would say. There were plenty of good puns and it was much more fullfilled.

Let's start with the title, the title alone was enough to make me laugh but I kinda hyped up too much and was expecting something a little more extreme. Whatever this episode still delivered well.

Frank believing without a doubt that Dennis and Dee would finally murder him was so funny. The fact that every member of Mac's family is homosexual is a nice touch. Kelly's weird teeth tradition was pretty funny but kinda extreme. It was a little grusome when mrs Kelly pulled her teeth out I didn't like that scene but other than that, this episode doesn't have much errors to talk about.

Should have started with this one

I was a little worried after last episode that this season might be a bit of a miss, but I'm happy to say this episode is a much stronger one than the first, with so many great moments. Honestly probably my favourite episode in a good few seasons. I could imagine this episode slotting right in there with those in the show's peak and it wouldn't feel out of place.

The characters are paired really well, they feel authentic to themselves, their storylines are both strong and Frank is absolutely killing it here. Easy 9/10 for me. Fingers crossed the season has more episodes like this in store.

(Loving the podcast too, by the way!)

How is this rated lower than the 1st Episode
balthier0322 June 2023
All I can say is, this might not be the best episode but they still have the same the Classic formula. This one was funny as hell.

Hopefully until IASIP ends, they can keep the same level of comedy, its understandable that in the later seasons it can be hit and miss, but IASIP already surpassed that by keeping it funny after all these years, which most Shows lose.

They never missed a season where all of episode are bad and unfunny.

IASIP already cemented their title as one of the best comedy shows of all time.

Also Charlie Day's acting went back to like he was in the earlier seasons, some of his acting from a few seasons back were a bit underwhelming. But hes back now thats what matters.

Classic always sunny
jacobarch11 June 2023
It's nice to see theyre going back to their roots. Just silly over the top comedy that doesn't care about anything other than making you laugh. Good stuff guys. Can't wait to see more.

Getting to the episode I thought it was a great frank episode. Reminded me of his classic schemes that he would concoct or over the top antics. Charlie and macs moms were on point and I felt like we've kind of missed them the last couple of seasons, so it was nice to see they're still going strong. Charlie's sisters I thought were the only weak part of the episode. Overall the episode felt like they never missed a beat. Can't wait for next week.

Great episode
abelmloa14 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Season 16 is 2 episodes in so far and the biggest complaint is that the actors are older, so yeah Always Sunny is doing great.

This episode just feels like more sunny, which is great, it wasn't a top 10 episodes of all time, but it was very enjoyable and had everything I enjoy about always sunny. Frankly I was scared after the bumpy rides that were S13 and S14 but it seems like S15 was their warmup and the gang is back to their usual insanity with S16.

That being said I hope they keep the theme of exploring side characters in the show, like Charlie's sisters coming back or more Cricket, etc.

Edging back to form
adamation938 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After the first episode of the season, this episode feels like it's inching back to form a little more. Danny Devito brings his A-game as Frank as usual in this one and is the best part of the episode. I'll be honest- I forgot Charlie had one sister let alone two. And after some research there were two girls in the scene when Charlie's mom had an intervention for him in Charlie Gets Molested...The fact that they're rich onlyfans models is topical even if nothing particularly funny came from the revelation...And their dialogue was a little meh. The guy playing Mac's uncle Donald looks exactly like Gregory Scott Cummins who plays Macs dad so that was interesting. I can't help but wonder if there's a relation there in real life. The McDonald name trend in their family is a funny continuation of the Ronald McDonald joke. All in all, not a terrible second episode of the new season.

Episode 1602
bobcobb30119 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There have been a lot of memorable Frank moments over the years, but I think they still struggle with him feeling like a natural and organic fit to the four original stars of the show.

An old man running around with a gun just feels like a political stunt and talking point and not a particularly strong storytelling thing. I did like the parallels to putting down an old dog that we got throughout, I feel like Family Guy is at its best when they have Brian act like a real animal too, but the show did not fele very well thought out tonight.

Everything with Mac and Charlie's parents was just way too absurd.
