ABSOLUTELY STUNNING

YES this documentary is absolutely stunning as are all Joanna Lumley programmes. I have just watched episode one and now starting episode two. The scenery is so beautiful and so is Ms Lumley as always. She has such a magnificent way of presenting a programme with fantastic dialogue, music and camera. She welcomes you and all the people she meets in such a wonderful way.

I have never visited Indonesia even though I live in Australia but after seeing this episode it makes one want to jump on a plane and visit. Alas I am now too old to do this and my passport has expired.

I am so looking forward to the rest of this series and of course whatever Ms Lumley presents next.

Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic. 100% in her lane.

I am trying to figure out what makes this series so great. One I think it's not your typical travel show. "Look at my hotel. Watch me eat this thing you've seen someone eat a million times. Look at me take a picture in front of that typical thing." No. She takes us to an Uzbek wedding, talks to a female DJ in Kyrgyzstan exploring social topics. She is bold (in a polite way) and not shy or awkward. She is absolutely the right person for the job. She often is speaking or reading in the local language so she is on top of being beautiful she is also smart. I may be a little biased because I always have found Central Asia quite mysterious. Besides one other series (an Italian one about the Silk Road) I haven't seen many travel series that spend extensive amount of time in the region.
