A nice journey.

I enjoyed very much this winter journey: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.

There are some interesting aspects of the region: the icebreaker "Les Groseilliers" (the navigation on the Saint-Lawrence river, the captain Berytrand, the mechanic Françoi Dumont and chief mechanic Richard Bourdeaum the breaking of the ice in the winter), the winter carnival (many winter sports, the snow bath), the Isle-aux-Grues (the life of the islkanders, Jean Gosselin-the pilot, Joël and Johanne Bernier-all the people of the isle know each other-, Gilles Tardif-the innkeeper-, the ferry delivering goods, the cheddar cheese factor-Patrick Vezina, the cattle breeder), Clément Pelletier, the maple syrup producer (the tapping of the trees, the collect of the raw sap and the making of the syrup) and the wild fauna (Sébastien Lefort and the white-tailed deers,Pierre Blanchette and the spruce grouse).

I enjoyed the encounters of Sophie with Michel Langlois, the snow remover in Quebec-City, with Jean-François Lachance (the visit of Quebec-city, the Frontenac castle, the ice canoes, the ice hotel, with François Lachance in Montmagny (the boat tour on the Saint-Lawrence river), with Daniel Saint Pierre at Le Bic (the shipyard, the rowing boat tour) and with Gaëtan and Elise Fournier at Notre Dame du Rosaire (the wooden house, the making of maple syrup, the trapping of a beaver, the tasting of the fir sap, the trapping of a hare and the preparation of the furs of various animals); very nice encounters with very kind Quebecker men and women.
